Description:

This bike was owned by a long time CBE customer/collaborator from Maine, Peter C. Over the years, Peter has restored numerous bikes to a level where he would ship them to Mecum Auctions in Vegas. And, he has done very, very well. No longer able to ride, this is one of his last projects and has offered it to CBE for a nominal sum to support our Intern Scholarship program. New paint by the Vintage Vendor, new ties, brakes, etc.  Mileage is believed to be accurate. Our Guild is in the process of completing our three page delivery checklist.

  • 8,500 on the clocks
  • Matching numbers
  • Current ME Registration; no title but all previous records since purchased new in 1979
  • Located in Essex, VT

Jack’s Listing Assessment:

We know this bike and owner very well. Peter is an exceptional mechanic and restorer. It is over the top that he has essentially donated this bike for our Intern fund. Later Oil-In-Frame 750s are great “first classics” for a lot of reasons, including left-hand shifting vs the traditional right-hand shifting of most vintage bikes. You can’t go wrong with the Triumph Red/Black motif, which is a real head turner. This bike will need absolutely nothing. Just ride.
