9th Annual Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride Sunday, May 17

Join hundreds of thousands of dapper gentlefolk in the world’s most stylish on-road motorcycling charity event.

Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, Sunday, May 17th, Worldwide.

Classic Bike Experience (CBE) will host the 9th Annual Burlington, Vermont regional celebration of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) on Sunday, May 17. Our co-sponsors, Cyclewise Inc. will display an array of the latest Triumph motorcycles available at their dealership in New Haven, VT. They also donate a great collection of Triumph swag for our prize drawings after the ride. Joe, Tamara and the youngest Boise, as well as the Cyclewise crew, dressed to the nines, join us each year on the ride.

We meet at 10:00 AM at Classic Bike Experience (CBE) in Essex Junction, Vermont for check in and open house activities including our chef at the grill cooking breakfast sammies, serving coffee, and our team photographer providing individual rider photographs. We depart on a 36-mile ride at noon and make our way toward a rest stop in Hinesburg. Then on to CycleWise our local authorized Triumph dealership located in New Haven at 130 Ethan Allen Hwy., for a reception with food, prizes, and music until 4 PM. This southern location is also intended to appeal to a wider swath of riders from throughout the state.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride was founded in Sydney, Australia, by Mark Hawwa. It was inspired by a photo of TV Show Mad Men’s Don Draper astride a classic motorcycle and wearing his finest suit. Mark decided a themed ride would be a great way of connecting niche motorcycle enthusiasts and communities while raising funds to support the men in our lives.

Funds raised by The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride are invested into prostate cancer and men’s mental health initiatives around the world through the official charity partner, Movember.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health on a global scale. Since partnering with Movember in 2016, DGR has raised over AUD $70.4 million for cutting-edge research into prostate cancer tests and treatments, initiatives that improve quality of life for men living with the disease and innovative men’s mental health projects.
