This 1976 Triumph TR6 was refinished in white and fitted with red vinyl and black cloth Mazda Miata bucket seats under previous ownership, at which time the 2.5-liter inline-six was overhauled, and a Toyota, five-speed, manual transmission was fitted along with a straight rear axle.
$19,000
Equipment includes Patton fuel injection, Good Parts ram air induction, front disc brakes, 15″ Konig wheels, a black soft top, and a luggage rack. Acquired by the seller in 2023, this TR6 is offered with a BMIHT certificate, an owner’s handbook, service records, and Vermont registration in the seller’s name.
Finished from the factory in Carmine (82), the car was repainted white with red pinstriping in approximately 2017. Exterior details include a black convertible soft top, a red tonneau cover, a luggage rack, a plastic air dam, Union Jack decals, and dual side mirrors.
The 15″ Konig wheels are mounted with 195/90 Arroyo Grand Sport 2 tires that were manufactured in 2021. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features Mazda Miata bucket seats that are upholstered in red vinyl with black cloth inserts in addition to a wood dashboard panel, a locking glovebox, and a heater. The windshield wiper knob is in need of replacement.
A wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 140-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer while gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage are mounted centrally on the dash. The five-digit odometer shows 77k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
The 2.5-liter inline-six was overhauled in approximately 2017 and fitted with Patton throttle body fuel injection, an electric fuel pump, a Good Parts ram air induction system, an aluminum radiator shroud, an electric cooling fan, and a gear reduction starter. Oil seepage is noted from the engine.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a Toyota five-speed manual transmission that was installed along with a solid axle and a replacement driveshaft under previous ownership.
A British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate lists factory colors, equipment, and a build date of December 21, 1975.
The Vermont registration lists the VIN CF51693, excluding the “U” suffix shown above.
The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its Vermont registration.
