Selling this stunner for one of our Guild members at Classic Bike Experience (CBE).
Price: $9,500
By most popular accounts, the 1970 Bonnie was the high-water mark not just for the Triumph line, but the British Motorcycle industry as a whole. Several years ago the bike underwent a nut and bolt restoration at our shop by the previous owner.
Really pretty much as nice as they get.
It is largely a stock build and all receipts and records are available. The velocity stacks look the part, but the stock pancake air cleaners come with it if you prefer. This was originally a Canadian bike even though the clocks are in MPH.
There is less than 500 miles on the build which features some common upgrades like: electronic ignition, solid-state rectifier/regulator, and Amal Premier carbs. The paint, while not a stock color for a Bonnie, is similar to the T100 green and is the jewel in the crown. The stainless fenders are correct for a Canadian bike. US bikes had painted fenders.
If you ever wanted one of the British Classics and just wanted to ride it from day one, this is the bike.
By today’s standards it is light and nimble and can easily handle highway speeds. But where you really want to be is alone on the 50MPH back roads of Vermont. Like many of us, the current owner is in queue for knee replacement surgery but wanted to own and ride a Bonnie to cross it off their bucket list. So, maybe now it is your turn.
The bike can be seen at our shop, The Classic Bike Experience by appointment. The bike is priced attractively for what it is, the fully restored condition and the knowledge and documentation we have about the build. So please leave your low ball offers and scams at home.
It is currently registered and insured in Vermont, but there is no title as Vermont does not issue titles for machines over 15 years old.
